This booklet is aimed at migrant parents, and contains information on going to school in Ireland which has been translated into 7 languages – Arabic, Chinese, French, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian and Russian.

Topics covered include:

• Health checks in school
• Where to get financial help with the cost of sending a child to school
• The transition from primary to secondary school
• Special educational needs

• The role of parents and guardians in a child’s education

NOTE: The Booklet can be downloaded and printed. This version is designed to be an A3 booklet, however it is necessary to print it in A4. When it is printed in full, you will need to arrange the pages from 1 - 25 before folding the booklet.

Jesuit Refugee Service

The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic non-governmental organisation, founded in 1980. Its mission is to accompany, advocate and serve the cause of refugees and forcibly displaced persons worldwide. It operates at national and regional levels, with the support of an international office in Rome.
