Aims
Who we are

As part of JRS Ireland Strategic Plan 2010-2012 there are five main aims identified:

Reception & Integration

Child

To promote and contribute to improvements in the reception and integration of asylum seekers, refugees and migrants.


Detention

Boy To support non-Irish nationals who are in detention under immigration legislation.


Advocacy & Publication

Old Woman To advocate for a more just immigration system and asylum process. To publish resources that inform the public and influence policy makers.


Media & Public Awareness

Girl To foster a more positive public image of asylum seekers and migrants in Ireland and deepen public understanding of asylum and migration issues

 

Networking & Volunteers

Face Painted Girl To invite volunteers to help increase our capacity and contribute to a more integrated and inclusive society.  To support the work of JRS Europe, the JRS International Office and JRS projects on the ground worldwide.

 

Jesuit Refugee Service

The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic non-governmental organisation, founded in 1980. Its mission is to accompany, advocate and serve the cause of refugees and forcibly displaced persons worldwide. It operates at national and regional levels, with the support of an international office in Rome.
